Hadassah (Dassi) Ginsberg, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy known for asking the right questions. Patients describe Dassi as the therapist who digs beneath the surface, validates what you're going through, and makes every step of care make sense.
She Chose Foundations Twice
Dassi first came to Foundations as a doctoral student on clinical rotation — and out of every clinical experience in her training, this one stood out. What she saw here was the opposite of the go-go-go clinic model: therapists with the time to do the manual work they wanted to do, to be truly one-on-one through every exercise, and to talk through cases together over lunch. When she graduated, joining the team full-time was, in her words, a no-brainer. She's now been part of the practice across two years — first as a student clinician, then as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Her Approach
Patients consistently describe Dassi the same way: she puts you at ease, which is not the easiest thing to do in this setting. She asks the right questions and she actually listens to the answers without judgement. She really wants to understand what you're experiencing, and the more information you feel comfortable providing, the more she can help you. The comfort she helps foster allows her to have the whole picture of your experience in order to provide the best treatment plan.
Dassi wants you to understand why you are here and what we can do for you. She brings out anatomical models and walks through every single step of the evaluation and treatment. She's going to ask about your sleep and nutrition, your stress level and social support, because this type of care doesn't start and end with the musculoskeletal system, and Dassi knows that the best results come with a whole-person approach.
Every session ends the same way: Do you have questions? Do you understand the exercises — and why you're doing them? Patients who understand the why, she finds, do the work and get the results.
Dassi has been trained both by Esther as a student and Ronit as an employee, and routinely co-treats with Fiana for another point of view. In this office we aren't individual providers treating our "own way." We are a team that provides a unified approach with our own added flair. Dassi has absorbed all our knowledge and then some through continuing education coursework and many webinars and podcasts that she listens to on 2x speed.
Birth Prep & Biofeedback
One of Dassi's favorite discoveries with late-pregnancy patients: many people practicing "pushing" for labor are actually doing the exact opposite — contracting their pelvic floor tighter and tighter instead of letting go. Using hands-on guidance and biofeedback, she shows patients in real time what their muscles are actually doing, so they walk into labor confident their body knows the difference. She treats birth preparation as confidence-building: physical readiness plus the knowledge of what to expect.
Patient Outcomes
Two of Dassi's patients are featured on our Patient Stories page: a marathon runner who came in leaking on every run after months of unsuccessful PT elsewhere — and left stacking six-mile runs with zero leaks — and a man who had lived with pelvic pain for seventeen years after being told by his own urologist that nothing could be done.
What Patients Say
"I started seeing Dassi at 36 weeks pregnant after not feeling like I was getting a lot out of my last PT, and in just 3 sessions I've already been noticing a difference and am feeling more prepared for L&D. Thanks Dassi!"
